Sore Back First Aid That Works

Early Tuesday morning I got a bit careless. I was moving something heavy and did not have my mind on what I was doing.  Next thing I knew, I felt that little twinge in my back.  At first, I thought it was no big deal.  But I was wrong.  Over the next hour it got worse and worse, tighter and tighter and more and more painful.

By the time noon rolled around, my back was so painful that I could not think straight and was not able to finish out my work day.  The pain had been bad enough for a few hours so that I wasn’t really getting anything done, anyway.  I should have just acknowledged that I was done working for the day and stopped.  Did I mention that sometimes I can be stubborn?

Anyway, I stopped work for the day because I really had no choice.  I put ice on my back and that helped a little.  I tried to do some very gentle stretches to pull out the tightness.  That did not work at all.  My back was simply too tight to move it very much at all.

I have some really cool supplements that often help.  I took a larger amount of them than usual.  I’m not sure if that helped, but if it did, by the time I went to bed my back was still quite sore and I knew I was in for a rough night.  But I felt like I had done all that I could for the time being.

This morning, Wednesday, I woke up bright and early, eager to start the day.  But my back was still very, very tight and the pain level was still high enough so that it was difficult to focus on much else.

Then a light went off!  I remembered what I have done in the past that really did work.  I am not sure why I did not think of it right away, when I first hurt my back.  But for whatever reason I did not.

For all the years I had been a competing athlete, I have always used a mixture of organic sulfur in MSM form and DMSO to treat the occasional sore joint or muscle.  It always worked really well.  I credit this remedy with being a major reason why I was one of the few people in our circle of riders who never scratched a race over several decades.

I applied the mixture of organic sulfur and DMSO to my back.  My wife helped with this since my back was still so tight that I could not even reach most of it. Right after applying it my skin itched quite a bit.  That is not unusual.  If there is itching, which only happens some of the time, it does not last long.  Within about 15 minutes, almost all the pain was gone, and I was able to do some gentle stretching and begin to pull out the tightness.

Here I am writing this post a few hours later and the pain is still mostly gone.  There is just enough pain remaining to remind me to be careful and gentle with my back for the next few days.

I was inspired by this event and how well this remedy worked and has almost always worked to share it again in this post.  Besides the fact that this simple remedy almost always works, and works well, it is inexpensive and aside from some itching that may or may not occur, and some very minor skin irritation, there are no side-effects. That is in marked contrast to most other pain remedies and/or medications.

There are some things to know about how to safely and effectively use organic sulfur with DMSO.  If you are interested in learning more, feel free to download the more detailed article by clicking the link below. Please feel free to let me know how this works for you, and to post your questions, comments, and…    I have been using this remedy for over 57 years now, and I have helped a lot of other people to learn how to use it.
